"I'm tired." Cade thought this over and over in his head while he vainly tried to go back to sleep. "It can't possibly be time to get up yet." Even before he finished saying this he knew it was a lie. He could feel the sun that was coming through his window on his face. Deciding with conviction that he was not getting up yet, he rolled over and settled back under his blanket. He immediately revised his plan once he felt an itchy crawling sensation on his arm.
